The Forests and Free Speech national tour has just wound up its three month tour of the nation, holding 36 public meetings in 6 states and territories.

The final event of the tour was held on Dec 13 at the Perth Town Hall on the eve of the one year anniversary of the serving of the writ on the 20 defendants by Gunns Ltd.

Speakers on the night included Dr Frank Nicklason def #19 and founding member of Doctors for Forests, Louise Morris tour coordinator, def #8 and sole defendant in lawsuit by Tasmanias Harback Logging as well as Leigh Simpkin of the EDO and auther/ABC presenter Paul Collins.

The campaign for our forests and free speech is far from over, with thousands of people who have come along to the meetings and written to our political representatives carrying on the campaign to protect our right to free speech and right to peaceful protest.

It goes without saying that the campaign to protect Tasmania's forests and defend ourselves from the claims brought about by Gunns Ltd goes on. With the help of many people who have taken a stand in defence of Tasmania's forests and the Gunns defendants, our Forests and Free Speech will be protected.
